Tour de COhio
June 14th - Marion County Lake, KS to Council Grove Lake, KS
Day 10 - June 14th, 2005
Another 63 mile day. Westerly winds were to our favor, except when we went north for a bit – a zig-zag in Route 56. I broke out ahead of everyone somehow today, unintentionally, this happened during the northern jaunt, i.e., crosswinds. Then the other guys weren't sure where I went 'cause there was a business route to a small town and they thought I might have gone there for lunch since I always like to take breaks. But today I just kept going – especially when I turned east again and caught a tailwind – I could stand up and rest my rear – nice. So here we are at Council Grove Lake, Ritchies Cove, camping.
Another beautiful spot. Water is high, some camp roads washed out. Well, Bo is going to the shower house – Goot is snoozing and I'm – of course – writing and buzzing. Ah, life truly can be wonderful!
